Bells Lane Hoo

This project summarises our experience and approach on a series of urban fringe projects around North Kent. Being the first phase of a wider residential masterplan, The Old Stables sets the scene and the quality to be followed. Now completed, 100 family homes are set out amongst shared streets and a village green. Residents are encouraged to walk and cycle around in a safe and secure environment, where children play out and neighbours sit and chat.

The layout of the village green takes its form from the combination of the geometric ancient fortifications and contrastingly organic drifting marshlands out in the nearby River Medway.
