Bringing new life to Beckton Park, the approved development transforms a largely derelict industrial estate into a mixed-use hub of 391 homes, SME and office space. The proposed scheme will indeed offer a new active frontage to the wider park, combined with an enhancement of the wooded edge.
The overall approach is to create highly ordered streetscapes with a series of contrastingly lush podium gardens for the residents to enjoy in a spot of calm and tranquility.
Back at ground level a new public square will form a gateway into Beckton Park, whereby the future residents can interact with the existing adjacent community with organised events and programmes.
