The refurbished external landscape forms the focus for an extension to the existing science and engineering facility with a ‘technology’ court created between the two buildings. The design was informed by debates with the teachers and academics about how best to deliver the STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) curriculum, including the format for the external teaching space.
Together with this refurbishment works we enhanced the entrance to the school with a new sweeping path and seating for pupils, staff and visitors arriving from the village.
